Greetings From:
Sandra Waters Anderson
Dear Abode Visitor,
On behalf of my husband Scott and myself, we appreciate your visiting our home pages, and particularly those pages and photos about our adopted daughter Eva Xiao Mei. We invite you to view Eva's progress by visiting Eva's home page, and the various photo album pages found on our site page menu.
When time permits, I plan on writing about the adoption process that Scott and I went through, as well as our trip to China. I hope to eventually get around to writing about raising Eva and what it's been like to have been given the opportunity to be blessed with such a wonderful experience.
(Please see; Parenting - An Update - 1/27/03 or the latest Update on Parenting - "New" 1/20/06).

We would very much appreciate your taking a moment to answer our Visitor Survey. We'd like to make whatever it is you're looking for in the way of China Adoption Information even better, and more comprehensive. Thanks for Helping Us improve our site.

For those of you thinking about or just starting the China adoption process, be sure to check out our Adoption Resource page. This page is updated frequently, and provides numerous links to internet resources and web sites devoted to adopting children from China. Also, be sure to look the U. S. State Department Guidelines for International Adoptions page. Although the guideline page looks intimidating, most if not all agencies help walk you through the myriad of paperwork in an orderly fashion. We consider ourselves very fortunate, in that we decided on an adoption agency that made our adoption of Eva seem rather routine, at least from our viewpoint.
Whether you are in the process of adopting a child or already have an adopted child, consider starting a family history and genealogy record (both yours and theirs) that can be passed along as a legacy of your cultural and family heritage. For a list of Internet genealogy resources, check out the links on our Genealogy Resources page.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally offer a big Thank You to several individuals that have made your visit to these pages possible. First to Lisa McClure, for graciously providing the link you've found at her site; Personal China Adoption Stories.
Secondly, to webmaster Jim Weaver at FWCC for the link on their resource page. I found Families with Children from China ( FWCC - Home Page, and FWCC - Resource Page ) to be quite helpful during our adoption process.
Lastly, to a very close personal family friend for lovingly developing and maintaining our current home pages. Originally there were only two pages, and over the course of the past year, our original home pages have become a multi-paged site that seems to have taken on a life of it's own.
